![]() What Windows version are you using? Do you have the latest service pack (for example, SP1 with Win 7) and all updates installed? I will try another USB cable to connect monitors hub to the computer. I've had USB hub on monitor before and there wasn't any problems. When I connect same hard drive dirrectly to the computer, everything is OK. I've connected external hard drive and it does not work properly. Nothing changes if I connect devices to it. Is there nothing in the monitor's manual (if you don't have one - try the website to see if one is available). You could check Device Manager to see if any USB3 is shown in the listing of all USB components. This is just a guess but attaching any USB3 device may well resolve the problem. It appears the hub as such does not have drivers available if nothing connected. Cannot think of any real reason for having it on the monitor - although some USB sockets on monitors can be used for webcams to link with such as android tv boxes So try attaching one and then any drivers should be found. I'm guessing that the USB3 socket is for attaching a USB external drive - possibly - or perhaps a webcam.
